First Term Notes

Noun:	Naming words are called noun e.g. people, animals, places and things like girl, book, pen, duck.
Pronoun:	Words used in place of noun are called pronoun e.g. I, we, you, they etc.
Verb:	The action words are called verb e.g. run, drink, play, sit, stand, read, write
Rhyming words:	Words with same ending sound e.g. pen-hen, down-crown and shoe-two.
Digraphs:	When two letters make one sound e.g. ch, sh, ph
Singular:	One person, place or thing is called singular.
Plural:	More than one person, place or thing are called plural.
Article:	If a word start with consonant ‘a’ is used before it. If word start with vowel ‘an’ is used.

Masculine :	A noun that represents a male e.g. boy, bull, man, horse etc.
Feminine:	A noun that represents a female e.g. girl, cow, woman, mare etc.
These:	Used to talk about things near us.
Those:	Used to talk about things away from us.
Common noun:	The name of a general / common person, place or thing e.g. boy, city, book etc
Proper noun:	The name of a specific person, place or thing e.g. Faisal, Karachi, Holy Quran etc.
Question words:	Used to ask questions e.g. what, where, when, who.
Is, am, are:	Used to describe a person, place or thing e.g. I am a girl. He is a boy. We are classmates.
Why:	Used to ask reason.
When:	Used to ask about time.
Adjective of quality:	Words that describe qualities of noun or pronoun.

Apple is my favorite fruit.
Its color is red.
It is sweet in taste.
It is healthy to eat.
I like it very much.

My classroom

My classroom is wide and airy.
There is a white board in it.
There are desk and benches in it.

Third Term Notes

Adjectives of color:	Words that describe the color of noun and pronoun.
Full stop (.):	It is used at the end of a sentence.
Request:	It is an act of asking for something politely.
Possessive Adjectives:	It is used to show possession of noun or pronoun.
Question Mark (?):	It is used at the end of a question.
Commands:	It is used to ask somebody to do something.
Possessive Pronoun:	The words that shows possession.
Comma (,) :	It is used to separate three or more words in a series.

She is thirty years old.
She does all the home chores.
She cooks food for us.
